Greg Wheaton is an extraordinarily talented acoustic fingerstyle guitarist. Emerging from the Chicagoland area, Greg’s music has invited and inspired the ears of many faithful fans. He names guitar great, Phil Keaggy, as his biggest acoustic influence, and has a repertoire of techniques similar to those used by Andy McKee, Antoine Dufour, and Craig D'Andrea. Utilizing percussion & rhythm, natural & slap harmonics, and left & right-hand tapping, his compositions have thoughtful precison, contemplative melodies, and sensitive interpretation.
Greg is currently endorsed as a part of Stonebridge Guitar's Emerging Artist Program and has been fairly active in creating acoustic music for local and national business marketing.
His latest accomplishment is the December 2012 release of "Hope Against Hope," his first full-length album of acoustic fingerstyle originals.
