Summary
Guitar Player's Guitar Hero Competition 2006 is open to guitar players of all ages and styles who believe they have what it takes to earn the title of "Guitar Hero." Ten finalists will be chosen by the staff of Guitar Player magazine - and these ten players will face-off in front of a panel of celebrity judges at the 2006 Music Player Live! event in New York City on October 27-29, 2006.
One transcendent guitarist will be named as Guitar Player's 2006 Guitar Hero, and will win a feature story in Guitar Player magazine, free gear, a track on a Rounder Records sampler, and more. (Prizes subject to change.)
Past judges include guitar greats such as Joe Satriani and Steve Lukather.
All genres accepted.
Please note: If you are a guitar player in a band, you may submit your bandÂ’s EPK to be considered for the Guitar Hero Competition.
