What does the "live performance" experience mean to you?
What "live performance" means to us is that it allows us the opportunity to bring our music to different people and places. To show the audience just how much we enjoy what we do and to be able to experiment with our songs without deviating too much for the original sound. To perform live in front of 20 or 20,000 people is what it''s all about. For us, the live experience turns our V8 studio engine into a V12 juggernaut!

Walk us through the steps you typically take to prepare for live performance.
We''ll choose the songs based on the time we''ve been given for a particular venue. We usually don''t use set lists because we feed off the crowd and each other. But we always know what goes where and when to play a certain song based on the crowd. We''ll have "dress rehearsals" to make sure we''re all on the same page so that when it''s show time, we can concentrate on the things that matter.........playing great music and having fun with the crowd.

What are some of your most memorable live performance experiences.
Each and every performance is memorable for us. But I have to say, when you get your "big chance" playing at a top venue, it always leaves you with some really great memories. I have to say that the best memories for us is when we include a brand new song for the first time and the response from the crowd is overwhelmingly positive. You just can''t beat that. Or when you''re performing your songs and the crowd knows all the words to all of your music. That is sweet!

What can we expect from you in the next year or so to come in terms of recording, touring, etc?
You can expect to see us performing at more higher profile Boston venues (The Paradise, House of Blues) as well as venues outside the New England borders. We''ll be at The Elbow Room in NYC in late March. (the 28th. to be exact). You''ll definitely see us on the road and performing too as many people as possible across the country. More writing, more performing and more writing.........and more performing......

What advice would you extend to other vocalists and musicians about the way they approach live performance?

Know your music! I know this may sound incredibly simplistic, but if you do covers, you had better sound like the real deal. And if you perform originals, you better know them to the extent that you don''t have to think about what goes where or how. You just feel so good and knowledgeable about what you are playing that you can enjoy the moment and have fun. I''m not saying that you become numb. Not at all. But if you don''t know what you''re doing, then you won''t have a good time. And worse, the crowd will know it. Know your music! Don''t look down at your shoes while performing! Have fun and enjoy yourself. People come out to see all of us and to have a good time, so make sure and give em'' one.
