In The Pocket Artists

In The Pocket Artists (ITPA) is a full-service national booking agency that was officially launched in early 2006. ITPA's focus as an agency is predominantly on youth-driven original music that's "got pocket", in particular Funk, Soul, R&B, Reggae, Afro beat and Hip-Hop, but also some Rock, Jazz and Pop too. ITPA's artist roster is being hand-picked to be a diverse representation of talent that is easily marketed to young audiences and is being designed to be used as a valuable resource for colleges, private high schools, festivals, special events and of course, clubs and theaters from across the US that seek the finest (and funkiest) in musical talent. There are currently 11 artists on ITPA's exclusive roster and many more that work with the agency on a freelance basis.

In the Pocket Artists is guaranteeing that at least one Sonicbids band that submits between now and the middle of 2008 will be offered an exclusive representation deal.

A little background information about our agency...The company's founder and president, Gabe Johnson, worked full time as a national booking agent at Simon Says Booking for nearly 5 years prior to launching his own company and boasts over 15 years experience in the music business. Johnson's passionate and knowledgeable yet down-to-earth business style is rooted in almost ten years on the road as a touring musician himself (1990-2000 with Jive Talkin' Robots, Soulwork and others) and the first-hand knowledge that his experience brought him about the ins and outs of what it takes to make a touring act successful.

Artists on the In the Pocket Artists exclusive roster include: Gokh-Bi System, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, The Afromotive, Josh Dion Band, The Blue Method, Revision, Roots of Creation, Leah Randazzo, Scott Fisher & 1a.m. Approach, The Boogie Hustlers and Spiritual Rez.
