"Editor Boy's Big Eight by Michael Molenda"

"Vick is 14 years old and a young talent with impressive chops for his age. (Man, shredders are getting younger than tennis stars these days!) Although "Meltdown" is a bit rough rhythmically and compositionally, it portends Vick's impending guitar heroism. - GUITAR PLAYER

"Classic Rock by Young Gun"

"Jesse Vick isn't old enough to drive a car or vote. Heck the 13 year old couldn't get a job in a fast-food restaurant -- he's too young.
But Jesse is a wizard with the electric guitar."

The owner of a restaurant where Jesse has played described the teen as "an adult musician in a kid's body." Generally the owner requires people to audition to play here, but he had won several competitions, and he just felt he could hold his own. "I was right," he said.

"Smithsonian Channel Documentary"

I was featured by the Smithsonian Channel on a documentary entitled, "The History of the Electric Guitar".

I was personally invited by Big Fish Entertainment to a film shoot at the Dallas International Guitar Show in April 2007. I was one of the very few young guitarists selected for this event.

Paul Reed Smith, along with G. E. Smith (of the Saturday Night Live Band) were the featured hosts of the documentary.

This was truly an amazing experience for me. - Big Fish Entertainment

Rock 'N Roll Revival

The Jesse Vick Band consists of Jesse Vick on lead guitar, Jacob Vick on lead vocals and bass, rounding out this impressive young trio is Lou on vocals and rhythm guitar. The incredible thing about this band is that Jesse Vick is only 16 years old and plays like he was born with a gitfiddle in his hand.

The Jesse Vick Band is from Ft. Worth Texas and they have won numerous awards such as the Battle of the Bands and Jesse has had his name in Guitar Player magazine.

Jesse plays with a fiery style of guitar that hasn't been heard since Joe Satriani and Steve Vai graced our ears with their instrumental anchors of talent. Jesse's influence of guitar players reads like top 10 for anybody who uses their axe to express their musical prowess. The Jesse Vick Band incorporates cover tunes as well as original songs to attract those who need an introduction into their style of music.

Because Jesse plays with an instrumental style his limitless guitar heroes also include those who pioneered the neo-classical sound such as Jason Becker. When the pendulum of musical choices swings the other way, you can hear his blues side with influences such as Gary Moore. Currently Jesse Vick is being featured on the Smithsonian Channel for the documentary of the history of electric guitar.

Never before has there been a musical explosion like the Jesse Vick Band primarily because they are bringing back guitar rock. It's bands like this that prove guitar rock is still alive and it's poised to reach the ears of a new listening generation.

The Jesse Vick Band has a new demo out and a few shows in the Texas area, if you get a chance check them out. You will be surprised at how talented they are and despite their teen years, they play with a vigor that reminds you of how great rock n' roll is born.

Jesse's band has won the 2nd annual Grapevine Talent Search, they placed 1st in the Lone Starz Rising competition with an original song titled "Don't Wake Me Up". They also headlined at the Pure Talent Showcase in Dallas, Texas. Since they have been seen and heard more and more the word is getting out about this power trio.

If you are a fan of guitar rock and wish that the 6-string assault would have a new generation to bring up the rear while planting seeds along the way then stop tossing pennies in the well. The Jesse Vick Band is here and they are ready to prove why they earned all those awards. Check out their music on the web and if you are in the Ft. Worth area catch a show.
