Digital Marketing Manager

Reports To:

Position Summary:
Sonicbids is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience in web content management, writing and editing for distribution on the web and basic web design. The Digital Marketing Manager will work with marketing, technology, product development, design, content, and sales team members to help evolve our web presence to meet the growing demands of our market, company and customers. In addition, he/she will be responsible for developing customer acquisition processes and flows to deliver automated responses to inquiries, manage inbound leads and drive both subscription and membership revenue.

The Digital Marketing Manager will work with the Sonicbids brand (www.sonicbids.com) and the Backstage brand (www.backstage.com), as well as with a wide range of client brands (http://www.sonicbids.com/brands). This position is full-time, on-site at our offices in Boston, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • • Create, develop and manage content for organization’s marketing website presence
  • • Coordinate website related projects across departments
  • • Maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties
  • • Copyedit and proofread all web content to ensure it meets today’s standards and SEO/web best practices
  • • Maintain a consistent look and feel and logical user experience
  • • Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference
  • • Create, build, schedule and report on all email marketing communications
  • • Ensure we comply with email marketing best practices
  • • Track and report on all site/campaign metrics
  • • Define, manage and report on PPC campaigns (Google Adwords & Facebook Ads)

Qualifications:

  • • Bachelors degree
  • • 3-5 years of web marketing and content management experience
  • • Strong attention to detail, creative thinking and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • • Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience working with content management systems (wordpress, drupal, joomla or equivalent)
  • • Experience with: Email marketing and marketing automation tools (Lyris, Exact Target, Eloqua, Hubspot, Marketo or equivalent) CRM systems (Salesforce, Zoho or equivalent) and other online advertising tools (Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, etc.)
  • • Strong personal social media presence
  • • Understanding of business social media benefits and belief in importance
  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills over the phone and in person
  • • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and video creation is a plus

Product/UX Designer

Reports To:

Position Summary:
Sonicbids and Backstage are looking for a full time or contract to perm Product Designer to help us build the next generation of tools enabling bands and music promoters to find opportunities/talent and market themselves. This is not a pure graphic design role. The designs you create will be experienced in a web browser or mobile phone so it is critical that you understand how to bring your vision to life in code. That is not to say that this is primarily a coding role either. You’ll need solid skills in basic web technologies to build prototypes and templates, but you’ll work side-by-side with a team of talented developers who will handle the heavy coding.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • • Translate written requirements and wireframes into product designs and prototypes
  • • Distill your designs into style guides and templates that can be used by the development team, other designers, and content producers
  • • Effectively communicate your designs to varied audiences (peers, management, clients) with the appropriate media and fidelity

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • • Ability to see the world through the eyes of our users and design a product that addresses the user’s needs
  • • Desire to see your designs in use and learn from real world interaction
  • • Comfortable working in short iterations from concept -> prototype -> minimum viable product -> successive improvements
  • • Bachelor of Design/Bachelor of Fine Arts preferred

Marketing Designer

Reports To:
VP, Business Development & Digital Marketing

Position Summary:
Sonicbids is seeking a super creative hands-on Designer. The position will be highly involved in all aspects of the job cycle from concept through production. The Designer is part of a small creative & marketing team and will work with the Sonicbids (www.sonicbids.com) and Backstage (www.backstage.com) brands as well as with Sonicbids client brands using our social music marketing platform (http://www.sonicbids.com/brands). The ideal candidate will be well versed in both web and print design. This position is full-time on-site at our offices in Boston, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • • Quick and detailed design with the ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects for Sonicbids and Backstage simultaneously
  • • Manages and implements brand guidelines
  • • Works closely with marketing team to develop & manage marketing website design, landing pages, display ads, printed collateral, event presence and swag
  • • Works closely with product managers, UX designers and developers to create designs in support of Sonicbids.com web applications
  • • Supports branded marketing team (www.sonicbids.com/brands) on pitch decks, presentations, etc.
  • • Manage freelancer and contractor relationships on necessary projects and assignments
  • • Work with teams that are based in multiple locations

Qualifications:

  • • 3+ years work experience as a designer
  • • Solid command of the latest version of Adobe CS5 including strong working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop and Dreamweaver and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • • Ability to code HTML (front end)
  • • Experience with HTML5, jQuery, and AJAX
  • • Knowledge and experience with mobile design
  • • Experience using a CMS to manage content (WordPress, Joomla or equivalent)
  • • Exceptional attention to detail
  • • Understanding of SEO best practices as it relates to design of landing pages, web pages, and infographics
  • • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven, dynamic work environment
  • • Knowledge and use of social media
  • • Flash experience a major plus
  • • Experience on both client side and agency side a plus
