Summary

JUNOfest, Presented by SiriusXM, is a two-night music celebration that is part of the 2012 JUNO Awards weekend. It showcases the diverse spectrum of regional and national artists in Canada. JunoFest will feature approximately 110 bands at over fifteen venues.



JUNOfest 2012 will be held in Ottawa, ON on March 30 & 31, 2012. Performances go from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. All genres of music are accepted.



Nearly half of the participating line-up will be chosen locally to highlight Ottawa's rich and diverse music scene, in addition to performances from 2012 JUNO Award nominees and some of Canada’s national touring acts. Junofest is for Canadian artists only.



2012 marks the 11th year anniversary of JunoFest since its inception in St. John's in 2002. As a means to promote and celebrate Canadian music, JunoFest has showcased more than 1,000 artists and bands of all backgrounds and genres including: African Guitar Summit, Alexisonfire, Arkells, Beast, Bedouin Soundclash, Billy Talent, Cancer Bats, Classified, Danny Fernandes, Divine Brown, D-Sissive, Doc Walker, Down With Webster, Elliott Brood, Elizabeth Shepherd, Famous, Feist, Hey Rosetta!, Jane Bunnett, The Gryphon Trio, Handsome Furs, Jully Black, Julie Doiron, Karl Wolf, Little Miss Higgins, Marianas Trench, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, Metric, The Midway State, MSTRKRFT, NQ Arbuckle, Plants and Animals, The Sadies, Said The Whale, Saint Alvia, Sam Roberts, Shad, The Sheepdogs, Shout Out Out Out Out, Silverstein, Sloan, Tanya Tagaq, Ten Second Epic, Thornley, Two Hours Traffic, The Wailin' Jennys, Wintersleep, and hundreds more.



Please note: CARAS books JUNOfest over a short period of time in February and March. Priority is given to JUNO Award Nominees and artists/bands from Ottawa (and region), so please keep this in mind when applying. All bands will be notified by February 29, 2012. Once again, JunoFest is for Canadian acts only.
