"A Star is Born…New Singer Making Country Music Shine Brighter!"

You may not recognize her name now, however Nashville Tennessee Singer/Songwriter Kellie Lynne, will soon be a house hold name within the Country Music Industry.

Originally from Lower Burrell, a small suburb of Pittsburgh, PA, Kellie Lynne may not have had a traditional “Southern Up-bringing, but geography didn’t stop her from falling in love with Country Music from the time she could walk. “ I grew up listening to Country Music,” Says Kellie, “I was involved in a lot of different things in high school, from softball and student council, to cheerleading and show choir, however music was always my true love.”

For Kellie Lynne, the “country life” wasn’t just about the music, as she actually lived on a cattle farm in Ohio for two years. “I loved waking up to feed the animals in the morning, then go ‘mudding’ and four-wheeling at night, explains Kellie. “I’m a country girl at heart and love hanging around a campfire with my friends, and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.”

These are some of the things that have shaped Kellie Lynne’s life and subsequently, her music. Although she is unsigned at this time, she has sang, toured, and entertained with Country Music’s quintessential Kings and Queens such as Loretta Lynn, John Michael Montgomery, Mark Wills, Chris Cagle, Trent Tomlinson, Aaron Tippin, and Emerson Drive, just to name a few. Kellie has appeared on television and radio shows across the country, and was the first female country singer to receive a standing ovation on the live TV broadcast of Showtime at the Apollo in New York City when she sang Broken Wing. Additionally, Kellie Lynne’s singles, Bad and I’m There have been heard on XM/Sirius Satellite Radio on Nashville 11’s radio station, and were the #1 fan voted songs in 2010.

Kellie’s new hit Single, Dirt Cheap, is receiving rave reviews, and can be heard on IHeartRadio’s ‘New Country,” and ‘The Nashville Channel,’ and will be featured in her first music video set to debut in the next couple of weeks. "From the first time I heard Kellie's voice I knew that she would one day be a future voice we hear in Nashville. It was an honor to direct her first video,” commented Michael Monaco, well-known Music Video Director, and creator of Kellie Lynne’s new music video.

"Lower Burrell's Kellie Lynne Schriver Making Her Mark On Country Music"

The stuffed animals in Kellie Lynne Schriver's Lower Burrell bedroom at one time proved a most willing and attentive audience as she was growing up.

Now the singer, who moved to Nashville in 2010 to follow her entertainment dreams, has a considerably livelier crowd watching and listening to her. All the country world is the 2003 Burrell High School graduate's stage, as she continues to log impressive credits on her performance resume that began in the Alle-Kiski Valley with local concerts and acting in Burrell High musicals and productions of New Kensington Civic Theatre and the former Olde Bank Theatre.

Her first music video, “Dirt Cheap,” for her popular single of the same name, co-written by country singer Luke Bryan, debuted Oct. 17. The single can be heard nationwide on two iHeartRadio stations, “The Nashville Channel” and “New Country” and regionally on stations such as Pittsburgh's Froggy radio.

The video was directed by Michael Monaco, who recently filmed Luke Bryan's video, “Drunk On You,” and directed “Liar” for Josh Hand, a contestant on NBC's “The Voice.”

The “Dirt Cheap” video, about a failing relationship, also is airing on TCN, The Country Network. It is found on her website: www.kellielynne.org.

“From the first time I heard Kellie, I knew that she would one day be a future voice we hear in Nashville,” Monaco says. “It was an honor to direct her first video.”

“This is such a surreal moment in time for me. I remember sitting in class and daydreaming about making a music video and having it be on TV, and now that dream is a reality,” Schriver says. “I just hope and want to make all of my family, friends and fans proud.”

The video was filmed at a farmhouse in Mt. Juliet, Tenn. “I was instantly in love with the house. Everything about me and the song I felt in the scenery,” she says. “Michael made me feel completely at ease and comfortable on the set.”

Country fans are getting increasingly comfortable with Schriver. Her star is already shining on Music City cyber sites like NashvilleUniverse.com, says the site's owner, musician Michael Kenney, where she has been nominated for entertainer of the year and female vocalist of the year.

“Awards from your peers are always more special. Kellie is very popular there because she is nice, talented and takes the time to assist others that are trying to move their careers forward, too,” he says. “She is a good role model and understands that if you're good to people, they will be good to you.”

Kenney describes NashvilleUniverse.com as “Facebook for Music Row,” where label executives, writers, artists, singers and fans can connect.

“I tell people that she is a talented, beautiful, performer that everyone needs to get out to see,” he says. “Her live show is great as she connects with the audience, and she has a sweetness about her that welcomes everyone. Music Row has taken notice of Kellie, and it's exciting to see her star begin to rise.”

He praises her music as well-constructed and delivered. “I have seen people go crazy over her performing ‘Ain't Country,' which is a song that is both fun and true,” Kenney says. “People relate to people that are real, instead of the prepared publicist version of themselves. Kellie is always herself and honest.”

Joe Sinnott, mayor of Erie since 2006, saw that early on when he invited Schriver to take part in one of the city's first “Celebrate Erie” concerts. “She's very committed to her music, very talented. She puts on a fun show,” he says. Schriver now invites him to join in the fun when she returns for shows there, dueting with the mayor on Jon Bon Jovi's country-styled “Can't Go Home.”

“The moment you see a fan singing along to a song that you wrote gives me chills running up and down my arms,” she says. “It amazes me that someone took time to listen to my music, memorize the song, drive out to the show and then tell you that they love your music. I love my fans so

"Kellie Lynne-Star Light, Star Bright"

You may wonder how I can still have so much to say about someone I’ve already interviewed twice. The explanation is easy – Kellie Lynne keeps progressing professionally. I could go on gushing about this girl because she keeps getting greater and reaching new goals. She’s come a long way from a cattle farm and campfires, country music always being her calling.

Two years ago when we first talked, Kellie was the # 1 unsigned country artist in Pennsylvania and she was packing up to perform in Nashville. Since making the move her songs “Bad” and “I’m There” were the # 1 requested songs on XM radio Nashville and she hasn’t stopped. You can’t just hear her in her hometown or see a show in Nashville – her songs have found fans everywhere as several stations proudly play her, even all the way in Ireland on Northern Ireland Country Radio and Strabane Radio. Gracefully getting her name out there, Kellie has performed with the likes of Loretta Lynn and at CMA FEST and she can even be seen in Cledus T. Judd’s #1 CMT music video “Double D Cups,” a parody of Toby Keith’s “Red Solo Cup.”

She has also acquired a clothing sponsorship with Altar’d State – which is more than just clothing, it’s a cause. On Mission Mondays 10% of the store’s proceeds go to various local charities and a portion of every proceed is donated to feed, shelter, clothe and educate children and they also work with women who have been exploited. As if she could be any more busy, Kellie recently released her first official video for the song “Dirt Cheap.” You can see it now on YouTube, and it will make its nationwide debut on TCN – ‘The Country Network next week!

My grandfather always told me that you can find out everything you need to know about a person from their friends. My very positive personal perceptions aside, you can tell a lot about Kellie from her fanbase, who are just as sweet and supportive as she is. Always thankful, accessible, and appreciative, Kellie would “give each and every one of you a hug personally,” if she could. As magical as it is to see a shooting star, it’s just as rare and wondrous to watch a rising one. Right now, Kellie Lynne’s star couldn’t be any brighter! - Sara's Soundcheck

"Kellie Lynne-Undefeated"

In the lingo of sports language, Kellie-Lynne can bring it! She can occult you on offense with lyrics like, “My love ain’t dirt cheap/I’m not a yard sale special on a dead end street.” She can deny you on defense by declaring, “I don’t care how nice your truck is/If it’s too pretty to haul a buck in,” all the while still being darling. With her new set of songs, Kellie-Lynne puts more points on her stat sheet.

Kellie-Lynne is on a singing streak that hasn’t stopped. She had a successful season and to sum up some things I’ve already said, she was the # 1 unsigned country artist in PA, her song “I’m There” reach # 87 without any outside promotion, and her song “Bad” was the # 1 requested song on XM radio Nashville, and that was before she even had a record deal! It’s safe to say that Kellie’s completion percentage is one of the best in the business and she’s the division leader of doing it yourself! With her new set of songs, score one more for Kellie Lynne!

Kellie is succeeding in a system that has consistent competition and she’s winning with talent and tact. Recently, Kellie added yet another accomplishment to her already astonishing arsenal and finished filming her music video for “Dirt Cheap,” which is now available on iTunes. She will also be performing at CMAFest 2012. Luckily, she took a time-out to tell me about her gracious game-plan.

Sara Fincham: What is your favorite motivational quote?

Kellie Lynne: I actually do not have a favorite quote, because I love to be inspired by many motivational quotes! I do always strive my best to live by, “Treat Others The Way That You Would Like To Be Treated.” My parents taught me that at a very young age, and I respect them so much! There is nothing more that I enjoy than meeting a new person! Whether it be at a show or not, there is always something wonderful that you can learn and pull from meeting someone new! I really enjoy staying connected with new and long standing fans! They mean the world to me, and deserve to be treated with the highest level of respect! If it wasn’t for my fans I would not be able to pursue my love for music!

SF: What different things are you doing this time around and how have they helped?

KL: I am working a lot more with songwriters and currently co-writing a lot of my own music. This has helped me to make better music for my fans.

SF: Do different cities inspire in different ways? What are some inspirations from Pittsburgh and also Nashville?

KL: I absolutely loved living in Pittsburgh! My hometown is where I was able to launch my career to build a wonderful fan base! I was very lucky to have such a great support team throughout the years by my family, friends, fans and band members! Having the opportunity to live in Nashville has opened many doors for me! Living in ‘Music City’ is so incredible! I am very fortunate to be able to live in a city where everyone and everything is music! There are so many talented and motivated singer/songwriters/musicians/producers here! Everywhere you turn, you tend to run into someone who is musically involved with the industry!

SF: What did you learn form last time that you are applying to your artistry now? What new insights can you share?

KL: I believe that this industry has a lot to do with networking! I feel I have become more confident in approaching industry people and other singer/songwriters. This has made me stronger as a performer today.

SF: When it comes to cutting songs – what’s something that a song should have that would make you want to sing it?

KL: I believe that “you know when you know!” You can talk to so many people and get a lot of different opinions on what songs you should cut and not cut, and drive yourself absolutely insane! Sometimes, you just need to listen to what your heart is telling you to do!

SF: When you hear a finished song for the first time – what’s that feeling like?

KL: The feeling is pretty hard to describe! - Sara's Soundcheck

When I first heard Kellie, her overwhelming talent made me cower under my desk in a fetal position, muttering things like, “Oh my, her sweet voice has melted my brain,” and “Why can’t you stop haunting me with your beautiful country music, Kellie Lynne, you minx!” Alas, her buttery voice would not relent; moreover, her natural born talent assaulted me like a swarm of butterflies in my face. But, after three days and nights of catatonic, blissful surrender, I emerged from under my desk and thought, “God, I’m so hungry.” Awesome country music performed by a girl so talented your head will explode (in a good way). - 2007 Westmoreland County Parks

Bio

Kellie Lynne came to see me a time ago and I was immediately captured by her voice. Now, after listening to her single "Dirt Cheap" I'm even more pleased with her voice. She's a true story teller and sounds like she really believes her lyrics. Her high notes seem to soar like they are not high notes. Her ease, tone, clarity, control and believability are foundations for a strong career.

Kellie Lynne’s journey is a tribute to being genuine, to talent, and to pure grit. From performing for her stuffed animals in her room in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, Kellie Lynne wrote, performed, and sung her way to Nashville in 2010. She is an unsigned singer/songwriter who is diligently working her way towards success.

While growing up, Kellie fell asleep many evenings to the sound of her father strumming a country song on the back porch. Kellie fell in love with the music and soon formed her own band and toured throughout 6 states for 8 years. While touring with her band, Kellie opened for the “Queen of Country”, Loretta Lynn, twice and other known country singers like John Michael Montgomery, Mark Wills, Chris Cagle, Trent Tomlinson, Aaron Tippin, and Emerson Drive just to name a few. Kellie Lynne’s singles, “Bad” and “I’m There” became the #1 fan voted songs in 2010 for XM/Sirius Satellite Radio station Nashville 11. Kellie was heard competing in a radio contest and was given a performance spot on a live taping at the historic Apollo Theatre in New York City where she became the first female country singer to ever receive a standing ovation.

For a while, Kellie lived on a farm in Ohio. That way of life gave her a true sense of appreciation for the lyrics of country music and a realization that a song can be an anthem for life, a tattoo of emotion that stays with you forever. She made it her mission that every person in her audience would feel the lyrics while she performed. Michael Kenny owner of Nashville Universe said in an interview about Kellie, “I tell people that she is a talented, beautiful performer that everyone needs to get out to see. Her live show is great as she connects with the audience, and she has a sweetness about her that welcomes everyone. Music Row has taken notice of Kellie, and it’s exciting to see her star begin to rise.” In January 2013, Nashville Universe named Kellie Lynne, Nashville Universe Female Vocalist of the Year and she was also nominated for Entertainer of the Year.

Marc Eric, CEO of Empirical Music publishing company and producer of Kellie Lynne’s new single, “Dirt Cheap” says Kellie Lynne has the “It” factor. “I have had many artists come through my studio. You just don’t see that often, she has superstar blood.” Eric also sees her as a genuine person. “Her voice resonates from her heart. I think people can hear when someone is being real.” “Dirt Cheap” was written by Nashville songwriters Hillary Lindsey (“Jesus Take the Wheel”, “A Little Bit Stronger”, “American Honey”), Dallas Davidson (“Put a Girl In It”, “I Don’t Want this Night to End”) and country superstar Luke Bryan.

The music video for “Dirt Cheap” was directed by Michael Monaco, who filmed Luke Bryan’s video “Drunk on You.” “From the first time I heard Kellie, I knew that she would one day be a future voice we hear in Nashville,” Monaco says. “It was an honor to direct her first video.”
The video is airing on the nationwide TV network TCN (The Country Network) and she was recently asked by TCN to host one of the segments for the TV show “Breaking Out.” The video will kick off a brand new Atlanta based online TV show at www.alltangtv.com to kick off their season. Yallwire and W.O.A. TV have also picked up Kellie’s “Dirt Cheap” video. The song is being played on iHeartRadio stations New Country and The Nashville Chanel, and plenty of Indie stations as far away as Ireland and The Netherlands. Between Kellie’s Twitter and Facebook accounts, she has established over 30,000 fans that are ready to see and hear more of Kellie Lynne.
