If Maroon 5, Dave Matthews Band, and John Mayer somehow gave birth to a lovechild... you'd get the band Edge. This college-aged band from Dallas uniquely blends classic rock with some full-body soul. It's the perfect balance between good, fun music and surprisingly deep lyrics.
This talented band writes their own songs and has been playing together for over 4 years. Colin Edge, the talented lead singer, has a voice reminiscent of Adam Levine of Maroon 5. Ben Edge, the lead guitar player, is the man behind the loud lean guitar licks and is actually Colin Edge's older brother. Perhaps this closer than close brotherly bond is a big reason why Edge's lead guitar and voice harmoniously compliment each other so brilliantly in passages in their song "Useless to Pretend". David Sposato, on the bass, provides the funky bass line that the almost hypnotizes all fans to get up and move their bodies to. Last but not least, Edge's jammin' drummer, Steven Washington II, provides the band with complex rhythms while keeping the constant heartbeat of the band on track. It is not one member of this group that makes this band phenomenal though, it's all of their combined talents that fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
Sure they sound promising, but would they be worth going to a concert and seeing them live? If you like going to a rockin' concert and being so in the moment that you forget about all of life's little stresses, than Edge is for you. Edge's live shows have been known to provide more high energy than an entire case of red bull. During the show, this band will keep you up on your feet. With such a unique live experience, it's hard not to be won over.
Take it from me, these guys are going to make it.

With brothers Ben Edge and Colin Edge, David Sposato, Steven Washington II, and Steven 'X' Holcomb, Edge has been making music in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for over 4 years. Edge has a style that is fresh and bold – a tasteful blend of rock and soul that is both energetic and melodic. Their music is lyrically thoughtful and positive with a message of hope and reality. With an enthusiastic live show and a strong commitment to fans, Edge is passionate about making great music and sharing it onstage and in the studio.
Edge's influences run from Dave Matthews Band, John Legend and John Mayer to oldies like Michael Jackson, and Gospel music like Israel & New Breed.
