So, you're standing at Lollapalooza with your bandmates staring at the stage and you think, "We could do that, if we only had the chance. And the haircuts." Well here's your chance. Last Band Standing will let you show your stuff and be judged by fans, peers, experts, and distant friends.

The Spoils: The victors of Last Band Standing go straight to music mecca - a gig at Lollapalooza. Plus tons of other perks and prizes.

Read carefully, or get your girlfriend, boyfriend, mom or dad to read it to you and get you on track.

Round 1: Bands have from May 19 - June 22 to submit and generate as many votes as possible. Bands can spread the word everywhere: via their website and MySpace pages, at their gigs, radio interviews, and more. At the end of the period, only the Top 100 vote getters will move on to the next round.

Round 2: Celebrity judges will choose their Top 20 bands from the list of 100. The Top 20 semi-finalists will be announced June 30.

Round 3: The competition heats up as the Top 20 bands will upload two more MP3s, the votes are reset, and the finalists have from June 30 - July 13th to collect as many votes as possible to determine the Top 5. It's simple: the Top 5 bands with the most votes make it to Chicago to compete live. Voting ends July 13, Midnight CST.

Round 4: July 30th. Double Door (Chicago). 7pm. Age: 21+. Free show. The five finalists from online voting will be invited to Chicago to compete in the finale event, where two bands will be picked to play at Lollapalooza. The winning band will be chosen by a celebrity judging panel and the runner-up will be chosen by audience vote.
