2013 Malibu Music Awards

The Malibu Music Awards is an innovative songwriting competition that will be held in September at the Malibu Country Mart in Malibu, CA. Click "more" to see footage from last year's Awards show.



This year, the competition is opening its doors to songwriters from all around the country. The Malibu Music Awards is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids songwriters in 12 different categories. There are a number of prizes which will be provided to the top 3 winners in each category, one grand prize winner will receive a recording contract and distribution deal with Arrival Records. It will be a one year contract which could lead to a longer term deal upon mutual agreement. The artist or band will also have a recording session at Great Music Studio. The artist or band will receive consultation and guidance with regards to their marketing, touring, and music selection. The artist or band will also receive the annual Grand Prize Award presented by a celebrity guest presenter.

Each submitted song will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the music industry including Meg Hanson (Universal A&R), Chris Henry (Nashville), Heath Caan (Live Nation), Jenna Voorhees (Universal), Vince Quintero (former Sony A&R), Kevin Carson (EMI), and more.
