"He's got the Blues"

Micheal Lee Seiler did not have a longstanding relationship with the blues when he entered the Mid-North Michigan Blues Challenge. Although the Boyne City resident had played music for....years, the blues had only been part of his repertoire for about two.... However, in competition on Nov. 21 at Streeters Ground Zero night Club in Traverse City, the singer-songwriter placed first in the solo/duo acoustic class. This earned hin a spot at the upcoming International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tenn. Feb 4-7. - Maggie Peterson/ Petoskey News Review

"Billy Gibson"

"I loved your set, man! I really like your voice and your style." - Musician & IBC Judge

"Andy Stefanic"

"Michael has one of those tender voices that is soothing and pleasant to listen to. He has a very original and unique style, and is his own man." - Andy Stefanic Band & Stage Co-ordinater at Big Ticket Festival

"I have a Feeling..."

" I have a feeling you're the man about town, no matter what town you're in." - Entertainer, Dave Boutette

Bio

As a Singer-Songwriter, Guitarist, & Vocalist, in both Covers and Originals, Micheal Lee Seiler is an established performer from Northern Michigan. From his teens in the acoustic group "Cody", Michael began sharing music with others from Ohio to Northern Michigan. He is recognized, not only as a solo artist, but also for his part in the duo "Synergy", and more recently, the trio "Roscoe Jordan" and the Classic Rock band "Claude Fraug". A collaboration with Composer/ Performer James Hughes of Grand Rapids, offers yet a new direction with their Energy filled duo "JUKE". His Ease with the Audience, and performance of original works, won him first place at the Mid North Michigan Blues Challenge November 2008. The win took him to Memphis' International Blues Challenge where he performed in Mr. Handy's Blues Hall to the acclaim of judges like Billy Gibson (Billy Gibson Band) and Bill Wax (XM Radio), and Hostess Liz Lautner, local Entertainment icon. With a knack for new arrangements of old standards, a heart for Regional & Traditional music, and a love for Folk, Country, Blues and Rock, Michael is able to blend a diverse spectrum of styles with an ever growing compilation of original music. His love to lead and share Worship Music has gained him Opportunities throughout Michigan, from Mackinaw Island to Grand Rapids.
His musical background also includes opportunities as a Master of Ceremonies at various local events, a panel Judge at Odawa's Winter Talent Search, and the Big Ticket Tour, And also as a stage co-ordinator at Gaylord's Big Ticket Festival.
Bill Barnnet Of Mix 96.7 FM has likened Micheal's Folk style to that of James Taylor, while Chris Young, Classical Guitar Instructor and former Sessions musician in Nashville, finds some of his blues similar to Skip James.
His CD "My Own Man" displays his influences from artists like Neil Young, Ray Charles, Eddie Shaw & the Eagles.
