The New England Punk Goth & Metal Festival will be held December 10, 2006 in Worcester. Last year's festival featured 43 performers including the headliners: Bella Morte, Trashlight Vision, Dr. Chud's X-Ward, & Sardonica. There is one slot reserved for a Sonicbids artist. Genres accepted include Punk, Goth, Metal.



The event is organized by Matthew Marchesi and his partner Anderson Mar. Anderson books her bi-monthly goth night at the Skybar in Somerville, MA, and is booking this years auditions at Reflections in Chelmsford MA, while Matthew continues to work heavily on most of the other duties. Jack Phoenix, moderator of The Northeast's Goth & Industrial Place Myspace group, continues to recruit interested bands. Adam Savage-Adalman is also helping to recruit bands and promote the festival while managing his own band Mongrel and his record company, Immolation Records (www.immolationrecords.com). Derric Stevyns of Dour from Portland, ME, Crimson of Absynthe from Providence, RI, and Richard Quintel of Demiurge of Manchester, NH are helping to set up regional auditions for the NE PGM FEST: Seven Sities of Syn Regional Audition Tour.



Event Sponsors include Sonicbids, The Boston Phoenix, Manic Panic, Toxic Toons, and Eddie Rays Tattoo Studio II.



This years pick will need to perform the following tasks if chosen to perform at the NE PGM FEST.

  1. You MUST hand out a minimum of 2500 flyers. These can be 1/4 page B&W at the bare minimum. 1000 ot these are to be handed out by the band, the other 1500 must be mailed to us for distribution through our 40+ member Street Team.

  2. You MUST hang 100 8 1/2 by 11 inch flyers. These can be hung at other clubs, shows, etc.

  3. You MUST contribute to the draw. You will be sent 50 "discount" tickets. These are to be sold for 1/3 of the cost ($5) of the face value of the ticket price ($15). There is no quota you need to fill, however, the proceeds of the tickets and ALL remaining tickets shall be turned into the NE PGM FEST. We will then need your receipts for the flyers and posters and even travel and postage costs. From the proceeds of the ticket sales, we will reimburse these costs and these costs only. We will not pay for lodging or food expenses.
