| Sonicbids Partners With LA Music Scene To Present First Annual Acoustic Live Battle of the Bands Event Runs September 8th - October 27th, 2002 In Westwood, CA THE SHOWCASE The LA Music Scene presents the first annual Acoustic Live "Battle of the Bands" to be held at the Westwood Brewing Company in Westwood, CA every Sunday beginning September 8th and running through October 27th. 42 artists will be chosen to perform throughout the 8-week showcase. Each week 5 music industry judges will advance one artist to the finals. THE MUSIC Acoustic Live is open to all ages and genres of music. Artists will compete on an acoustic platform with an emphasis on songwriting, performance and originality. Submissions do NOT have to be acoustic recordings! Send your strongest recordings. THE PACKAGE Submissions are $15 through your Sonicbids membership. THE REWARDS Advancing artists/band will compete for a Larrivee Acoustic Guitar, Audix microphones, studio time at 144 Recording Studios, and an opening slot at the Canyon Club and more. The top 3 competitors will win subscriptions to TAXI.com, TONOS.com, DIYreporters.com, Sonicbids.com and Javamusic.com. Plus, LA Music Scene plans to do A LOT of promotion; this is a great way to be seen by fans and industry professionals.
