Sonicbids Launches New Online Voting Application

Customizable Online Voting Tool Premiers for Camp Jeep 2004

Boston, MA – August 19, 2004 – Sonicbids recently launched an Online Voting Application - a customizable tool that enables promoters to get fans and consumers involved in selecting artists for music industry events such as festivals, conferences, songwriting competitions and more. The Online Voting Application is one more step in the process of taking submissions, reviewing and making selections online.

"Rolling out our new Online Voting Application was a perfect next step and serves as a great value-add for our partners to have access to," said Panos Panay, Founder & CEO of Sonicbids. "We are excited to continue providing our partners with tools that will make the online submission, review and selection process faster and easier than ever before."

The Online Voting Application resides on Sonicbids' servers - the partner does not need additional resources - and it is easily customizable to reflect the partner's branding. Additionally, the application enables partners to collect demographics of voters - and will also help drive traffic to the partner's web site.

The first partner to use the Sonicbids Online Voting Application was Jeep, who used it to select the emerging Sonicbids artists who played at Camp Jeep 2004 in both Virginia and California. Jeep began the process of working with Sonicbids by first taking submissions online through Sonicbids. Next, they narrowed it down to ten finalists for each event for online voting - whereby Jeep owners who were registered for Camp Jeep could cast their vote for their favorite artist by reviewing the finalists' Sonicbids EPKs™. The voting had the look and feel of the Jeep web site, but actually resided on the Sonicbids site.

The Sonicbids Online Voting Application has been an important part of Jeep's Emerging Artist Program. As far as the technology goes, Sonicbids' tool is a turn-key solution that fast and simple to implement with minimal resources.

Sonicbids has set the industry standard with its Electronic Press Kit (EPK™) platform that enables music industry professionals to send and receive press kits online. Used by thousands of musicians, Sonicbids' EPKs offer an easy-to-use, web-based graphical interface containing all the basic information of a standard press kit, including music, photos and date calendar. The new message board will add an element of community to Sonicbids, which will enhance Sonicbids as its network of partners continues to grow and as more and more music industry professionals accept EPKs as the industry standard.
