Sonicbids Named Exclusive Online Partner for National Association for Campus Activities (NACA)

BOSTON, MA – March 2, 2005 - Sonicbids, the leading online platform enabling musicians to connect with music promoters, has reached an agreement with the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) to be the exclusive online submission platform for the organization's music showcase event held annually at its National Convention. This marks the first time in NACA's storied history that acts will be able to electronically submit their press kits for the organization’s national music showcase event. Artists will be able to submit their Sonicbids Electronic Press Kits (EPKs™) to the showcase selection committee for consideration and register to become a NACA associate member if they are not yet a member – giving them the chance to get their name in front of the 1,000+ NACA-member colleges and universities nationwide.

"We have been looking for a way to automate and streamline the showcase submission process for our National Convention," says Alan Davis, NACA’s Executive Director. “Sonicbids has the right formula to make the job of our volunteer showcase selection committee, and the lives of our associate member artists and agents, a lot easier."

Sonicbids has been making the lives of independent artists and music selection committees simpler since the company started five years ago. Sonicbids' flagship product is the Electronic Press Kit (EPK™) that allows artists to build their own online version of their hard copy press kit, complete with biographical information, tour schedule, songs, pictures, and contact information. Sonicbids recently launched the Supersonic EPK™ that allows artists to include twice as many songs, high-resolution photos, streaming video, and PDF versions of their stage plot. The EPK™ can then be e-mailed (instead of mailing a hard copy) directly to a selection committee, event, festival, etc. or submitted into designated "virtual drop boxes." The online submission process also makes life easier for the selection committee as it eliminates the painstaking process of sorting through piles of hard copy press kits and demo CDs, CD-ROMs and videos.

"Sonicbids is about bringing together artists and talent buyers, building a community where business is done using an easy-to-use, online interface," explains Panos Panay, CEO and Founder of Sonicbids. “NACA's decision to take their submission process online will help the organization save both time and money - a valuable prospect since many of the selection committee members are volunteers – and help thousands of artists get the chance to showcase in front of a very influential group of talent buyers and trend-setters."
