Bio

No Dont Stop is more than a band name, it's a motto to keep pushing forward in the Canadian independent music scene. With lyrical hooks and captivating rhythms using anything from chains, animal bones, milk cans, and suitcases; at bowling alleys or in bathrooms, these Vancouver Island indie rockers are redefining versatility.

For their sophomore studio album No Don't Stop have put away their electric guitars and keyboards to showcase a more rustic and rural acoustic approach to their musical endeavours. No Dont Stop and the Mudflat Ramblers is a collection of new and old songs written from country verandas, living room pianos and backyard campfires dating back to when they first formed in 2009.

Mudflat Ramblers contains twelve tracks, recorded live off the floor at a small cabin located in the Cowichan Valley, including a countryside version of I Love My Rock n Roll, the dynamic resonance of I Fell Down, and a new down home version of Bleached Bones.

While still maintaining No Dont Stops rock n roll swagger, Mudflat Ramblers has landed No Dont Stop a slot at this summer's Sunfest: Vancouver Islands biggest country music festival. That same weekend No Don't Stop will perform at Cowichan Summerfest, record a live Art Exhibit performance, and host their album release party for Mudflat Ramblers.

No Dont Stops live performances are an intense mix of electric and acoustic, introspective and outlandish, melodic to energetic; theyve been turning heads and engaging audiences from every stage they play.

Singer Reid Williams shoots off lyrics like a young Bob Dylan as he plays electric guitar, acoustic guitar, or banjo; Levi Wertz keeps the rhythm moving with driving bass lines; and keyboardist Andrew Wilson spent all of 2011 hitting mallets on a stand up drum set: pounding the group forward as an unstoppable trio. Their use of random junk as percussion instruments has really raised some eyebrows and added to their appeal.

No Dont Stop have toured Western Canada twice, rocked the stage at Rifflandia, Gongfest, the Islands Folk Festival, Cowichan Summer Festival, and the Spot Prawn Festival. In addition, theyve organized several unique live performances in their home town including the first ever Rock n Bowl at Duncan Lanes and a sold-out circus themed Cabaret at the Duncan Garage Showroom.

With another studio album in the works, No Don't Stop are not only a creative collective that is versatile and determined but a driven team that will stop at nothing to get where theyre going.
