Maryland -- No Label, an unsigned urban pop rock group, will debut its video for "Whatchu Like", the first single from No Label's album, Shock and Aww, on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Jaxx Nightclub (6355 Rolling Road, West Springfield, VA 22152). Doors open at 7:30pm and admission to the general public is $10.00.
No Label was formed in 2005 and is comprised of 5 spectacular women who are creative and focused. No Label's members are LA native, Danni, Detroit native, Krys and Tennessee native, CJ. Shawn Michelle and Dada are from Maryland. .
No Label's sound is described as "urban pop rock." No Label's member, Shawn Michelle, describes their sound as "Take The Pussycat Dolls, stir in The Black Eyed Peas, and add a dash of TLC and you have No Label."
No Label has opened up for 112, MC Hammer, and Tabi Bonney. They were a featured group for the 2007 Black Family Reunion and the 2007 ISES (International Special Events Society) Awards.
No Label's members are extremely talented in their own right. During The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards (The VMA's), Shawn Michelle danced and shared the spotlight with hip-hop legend Busta Rhymes. Dada and Shawn Michelle have performed for R&B luminaries such as Mya and Calvin Richardson. Shawn Michelle has also choreographed for Mya and Calvin Richardson. CJ, Shawn Michelle, and Dada have appeared in the movie, "Step Up." Shawn Michelle has also been seen in "The Salon" with Vivica A. Foxx, and "New Best Friend" featuring Taye Diggs. Three of the members, Dada, Krys, and Shawn Michelle have appeared in videos for Tabi Bonney. Danni and Krys have also appeared in videos from music heavyweights Ja Rule, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Jamie Jones.

If you want dance, music, performance, and attitude we got it. No Label, five explosive women that come together to express their talent. Founded in 2005, this group promises to bring the best in entertainment taking their individuality which they feel is the key to spreading the word that it is okay to be exactly who you are. No Label has set out to break boundaries and stereotypes that we all face especially women. Getting back to a time where life was just fun. So again, whatever you want No Label has it. This is not just a group, its a way of life.
Shawn Michelle is a native of Maryland and a trained Actress, Dancer, Choreographer, and Recording Artist. Shawn Michelle has choreographed for artists including Calvin Richardson and Mya. As the choreographer, stylist, and a co-writer for No Label, she is dedicated to delivering the best, in music, live shows, and videos. Shawn Michelle can be seen in commercials for Dr. Pepper, Kmart, and Sheehy Ford, television shows such as Americas Most Wanted and an episode of Homicide and motion pictures including New Best Friend (Taye Diggs), The Salon (Vivica A. Fox), and the leading lady in the soon to be released comedy White Men Cant Rap and as a dancer in Step Up.
Everything about CJ speaks Rock and Funk! So it's no wonder she was born and raised in Memphis,TN the birth place of the Blues and Rock n' Roll. Performing all her life, CJ is no stranger to the business. This singer/songwriter/actress has shown her talents all over the country including Universal Studios in Los Angeles, Six Flags America in Maryland, NYC and was featured in the Disney/Touchstone movie 'Step Up.' Don't underestimate this one. Behind that innocent face and shy grin is a an explosive personality and performer. CJ's power and range gives the group an extra hint of edge.
Danni a native of Los Angelos, was bit by the entertainment bug early on. She can be seen as a dancer is such music videos as Ja Rule, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend. She also appeared with Pharrell and Nelly on 2005 Fashion Rocks. Danni's exciting personality and Tomboy chic flavor and hype rhyme helps to make No Label a force to be reckoned with.
DaDa has been dancing and rapping since she was eleven years old. She has taken first place on the Apollo three years in a row. DaDa has performed with recording artist Mya and just wrapped the new dance movie Step Up. DaDa's in-your-face rhymes bring a Urban Edgy attitude to No Label.
Krys- This soulful beauty hails from the great city of Detroit (motor town) .Krys has been singing since the age of seven and performing since the age of fifteen. This gutsy songstress models herself after such greats as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, and Gladys Knight. Krys hopes to share her passion for music and performing with the world.
