Oz City Premier A Major Hit!

Gig Overview
Show/Hide
We at Oz City are hosting a bi-monthly showcase of the best Australian Songwriters in, or touring through, Los Angeles at Genghis Cohen Restaurant. The showcase not only gives the artists an opportunity to play and help begin building their fan base in the huge American market but it raises the awareness of Australian music in this part of the world.

Our first show in March 2006 was an absolute smash! It was a great start to what has been a bumper year of shows. Submit now for 2007, including a special Australia Week edition of the Song Circle, and a great SXSW edition to the series in March. We will be reserving at least two performance slots for Sonicbids members at all of our future showcases! This new and exciting opportunity for Australian artists in L.A and soon in New York brings musicians together in a Songwriters 'in the round' style event. The featured Singer/Songwriters we've had so far are: Hopkinson, Brooke Beyen, Jay, Mark O'Shea, Natalie Gauci, Russell Stafford, Ry Cuming, Ronni Rae Rivers, Jackie Bristow, Gilli Moon, & Neil Murray. All of the artists have had a great time performing for an audience of music supervisors, publishers, managers, publicists, and music lovers from the L.A community. There are great networking opportunities for everyone.

All genres are accepted but songs must be able to be played acoustically, be it with guitar or piano. Awareness of the 'Oz City Song Circle' is growing rapidly and so far we have support from: The Australian Government's Australian Music Office, The Australasian Performing Right Association, ADVANCE (Aust. Global Professionals), Australians In Film, Australians In L.A, & The American Australian Association.
