The Popkomm Festival is the top international business music festival in Europe and one of the most important showcase festivals in the world. The festival happens in the heart of one of the most edgy club and music scenes in the world – Berlin, Germany. Popkomm will present over three days of music, in more than 25 clubs throughout Berlin, featuring many of today’s international stars and talents. This year’s festival takes place October 8-10, 2008.

Popkomm DJ Club Night 2008 in Berlin: Popkomm features the DJ Showcase Night.This international showcase night specializes in DJ presentations and the business scene for DJs. Berlin is one of the DJ capitals of the world - and the perfect place for these kinds of sounds. The Popkomm DJ Club Night will take place on October 11.

Online submissions through Sonicbids are open to artists worldwide for all Popkomm showcase slots. Applications will not be accepted by post. Five of the bands that are selected for Popkomm and from 1,000 km or further from Berlin will receive a grant of 1,000 EUR (half paid upon proof of travel arrangements to Popkomm, half paid upon performance at Popkomm) and a full day ticket for the conference and exhibition.

Record labels, artists, management companies, publishers and music projects can send their material electronically ONLY until May 23, 2008. All applications will receive a response by July 21, 2008.

All genres are accepted.
