Popped! Festival 2008

POPPED! Festival’s mission is to provide Philadelphia with a sustainable, independently produced, all-ages outdoor music festival featuring genre-spanning local and national performances while bringing global media exposure to Philadelphia.

POPPED! Festival is a 3-day event, which in 2008 will take place from June 20 – June 22 at Drexel University. Now in its second year, POPPED! will host globally recognized artists such as The Roots, Mr Lif, Little Brother and akron/family as well as breakthrough local artists, creating lineups each night with unique performances that can only be seen once in a lifetime.

POPPED!’s focus on sustainability means that the festival will be run entirely "green" from working with the Sustainable Business Network to cutting the use of plastic bottles, while educating concert-goers on the importance of being green and encouraging them to do so.

Last year's performers include Dr. Dog, The Spinto Band, Bardo Pond, Illinois, The War on Drugs, Nouveau Riche, Phil Brown Moore, Unlikely Cowboy, DJ Stumble, Shawn Ryan, Chris Rogy, TRB DJs, Mike Z, DJ Mental Feelings.
