Summary
The Painesville Party in the Park is Ohio's largest free music festival. The Party in the Park is celebrating its 34th edition in 2014. The the Party in the Park always takes place each year starting on the 3rd Friday in July. The 2014 festival will be on July 18-20, 2014 on the east side of Cleveland in downtown Painesville, OH.
The Opportunity
Some of their past and present sponsors include local and national companies and business such as Pabst Blue Ribbon, Boston Beer Co/Twisted Tea, University Hospitals, Lake Health, Monster, Allstate Insurance Co., and many local Cleveland area businesses. Past performers include Devon Allman's Honeytribe, Deals Gone Bad, Carlos Jones and the PLUS band, Paul Cebar Tomorrow Sound, Eric Lindell and The Pietasters.
Lodging/travel expenses are responsibility of musicians unless otherwise negotiated.
The Band
The event features over 30 musical acts across 3 stages from Ohio and across the country. Past genres include rock, reggae, folk, jam bands, world, blues, jazz, classic rock, Americana, country with an emphasis on original music. In 2014, at least 3 slots are reserved for Sonicbids artists but they are not looking to book heavy metal or hip hop artists.
The goal of the event is to feature musicians that perform a good amount of original music so for a band to be considered they must play most original music. Any bands that only do covers will not be considered.
