Play in the Southwest's largest GLBT Pride Parade and Festival, feature in the historic Montrose neighborhood of Houston, Texas. This annual celebration features 3 stages offering live music all day and night in front of over 100,000 fans. Pride Houston will fill up to 20 slots with artists who submit online through Sonicbids. Only a select number of artists will be compensated for their performances and travel expenses. However, every artist will be given space for merchandise and/or CD sales.
Pride Houston celebrates diversity in music and features hundreds of local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from alternative, country, R&B and raggae to blues, zydeco, rock, pop, Latin and others. Last year's performers included Neimisis and Kimberly Caldwell as headliners, with 2006 featuring Taylor Dayne.
This year's festivities, which will be held June 27-29, 2008, will continue to provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food and market space. Pride Houston is a must attend event for hundreds of thousands of GLBT citizens throughout the Southwest. Sponsors include Bud Light, Southwest Airlines, WAMU, and more.
Pride Houston is looking to book artists on the following stages:
Friday 6/27: Evening event held at an 500 person capacity indoor venue.
Saturday 6/28: 2 stages along the Parade and Festival grounds where over 100,000 attend to view the first night time parade in the U.S. Performances begin at 3 PM and last until 8 PM.
Sunday: Mid-afternoon event held at an 500 person capacity indoor venue.
