Release Magazine is one of the oldest and most popular magazines for alternative music in Europe. Our specialties are electronic, industrial and gothic music. Born in Umea, Sweden in 1986, Release Music Magazine was the printed version of our current web magazine. In 1998 we shifted exclusively to the online realm, where we feel we can focus on the large international, free, and always accessible version of Release, with more readers and bigger potential.

Our focus is on reviews (1,200 and counting) and music news. We also feature a number of interviews, and have sat down in the past with acts like Rammstein, Ministry, Martin L Gore, Jesus & the Mary Chain, Fields of the Nephilim, Throbbing Gristle, Astral Projection, Kent, Jay-Jay, and HIM. Currently we are seeking bands for our review and interview sections. This is an invaluable opportunity to gain worldwide exposure for your band, especially in Europe.
