Rock ‘n Roll Dating is a fun, unique, event where single music lovers in Boston come to hang out, meet up, and check out new, independent bands. The next event is Tuesday, November 21st at Harpers Ferry in Allston from 7:00-9:30 pm.
Rock ‘n Roll Dating is looking for bands that appeal to a wide range of mid-20's and early 30's single adults. Quality Alternative/Pop/Rock acts that cover a wide range of influences are preferable – but please, no pure cover acts. As long as it’s nothing too heavy and nothing too fluffy, any style in between is fine. Submitting artists will be considered for the next upcoming event as well as future show dates beyond that.
Artists will be compensated with a small guarantee for a 30-minute performance sometime between 7 pm and 9 pm. Bands do not need to promote their Rock ‘n Roll Dating show as there is a built-in crowd. Bands should show up at 6 pm and will receive a small guest list. A partial backline is provided for all bands.
In addition, artists will have the option of performing an encore set at Harpers Ferry for the Rock ‘n Roll Dating Afterparty at 10 pm. Playing the Afterparty is completely optional and participating artists are encouraged to promote this show and will be paid by door draw.
Past performers include, Static of the Gods, Topheavy, Three Day Threshold, Labb, Supervain, The Shills, Sad Marvin, Leo Blais, Ruth (Amusia), and more.

"Unlike other speed-dating events, you don't have to stare you're your dates' eyes for 20 minutes. If you're not vibin' him or her, then you can simply proclaim, "This band is GREAT!" and watch the stage as if Robert Plant had come back from the grave...All I know is, if you want to meet great people, and hear new local bands (Amalgam was my favorite), then check it out."

"Be forewarned: this isn’t the typical young-professional speed-dating event...Between sets, hot young hipsters are allotted five to 10 minutes to meet, greet, and possibly make sweet. Where else are you going to find four bands and six dates in less than three hours?"
