"Dukes"

I really liked these guys. They were a group of young guys but they sounded every bit as good as many of the bands I've seen consisting of old guys (you know what I mean). Good original music. Some excellent covers and a great, laid-back sound - Band Stalker

"Scott Wesley Band-Duke's Alehouse"

Scott Wesley Band - Duke's Alehouse 9.4.10
I stopped in at Duke's Alehouse Saturday night and had the opportunity to see a great band, the Scott Wesley Band. I really liked these guys. They were a group of young guys but they sounded every bit as good as many of the bands I've seen consisting of old guys (you know what I mean). Good original music. Some excellent covers and a great, laid-back sound. The band consists of Scott on guitar and most of the lead vocals, a drummer with an excellent voice, another guitarist and a bassist. These guys were well-rehearsed, tight and had some great harmony work. They were all good players. They also ran their own sound themselves and the mix was great. It's too bad it was Labor Day week end and most all of downtown Crystal Lake was dead Saturday night. There was not a big crowd at Duke's but missing these guys performing was your loss if you by-passed Dukes.

Keep it up you guys. I really liked what I heard and the originals were very good songs. You really slayed me when I heard your very excellent version of Quinn the Eskimo. Check these guys out at their web site at http://scottwesleymusic.com/ or at http://www.myspace.com/scottwesleyband

Make a point to see them live the next chance you get. I will definitely be back to see them again.

"Scott Wesley-Seconds To Years CD Review"

Scott Wesley-Seconds to Years CD Review

Chicago’s Scott Wesley teamed up with the Cassette Company production team to record Seconds to Years, a pleasant follow-up to his 2007 debut, Open Eyes.

Wesley, who kicked off 2010 with a performance at SXSW in Austin, Texas, delivers the hooks and a few curve balls on his sophomore release: lead-off single “Sun & the Water” is breezy and upbeat, while “Give it a Rest” is a little more left-of-center given its power pop guitar and new wave synthesizers; “Permanent’s” approximation of southern boogie calls to mind the Allman Brothers, while “Open Eyes” is a dead ringer for Jason Mraz; “Leeches” is a rather jazzy/spacey album closer.

Seemingly custom-made for fans of the lighter jam band aesthetic, Seconds to Years is sure to please the laid back post-collegiate crowd that packs amphitheaters for the likes of Jon Mayer and Dave Matthews.

Scott Wesley performs at Brad Cole’s Acoustic Circus at Elbo Room on Saturday, Oct. 16.

Bio

It's 2013 and Scott Wesley, a 23 year old from the Chicago burbs, finds himself with a rapidly growing fan-base, an official SXSW Festival performance under his belt and a busy college performance schedule.

In a recent college interview Scott admitted... "no matter what gigs I've played before, whether festivals or venues, the colleges and universities are my favorite bookings! The students get so excited when I start my 90's medley with Back St Boys....we have a blast! I love meeting all of them and making new friends....always such an awesome time!" Scott's humbled by the college showcase experience and the enthusiasm in bookings he's received from those, having performed at over 60 colleges and universities in the last year and a half.

Wesley developed a buzz early on in his career with his first album release "Open Eyes". The entire album was licensed by Microsoft for various products and this company continues to license his songs today.

His second release "Seconds To Years" has been widely appreciated and appealing to the college crowd with each track creating a diverse sound in the rock/pop genre. "Seconds to Years" is drawing a lot of attention for commercial use as well.
