The Skylark Series - New York City

Gig Overview

The Skylark Series is a series of concerts held at various venues in New York City that will showcase up and coming female talent in the unsigned music world. The inaugural concert was September 25, 2004 at The Baggot Inn in the West Village from 7pm to 1am. Later dates will be posted through the Skylark Series website. The series will encompass all musical genres, bringing together thematic shows using acts who submit their music through Sonicbids. By starting this initiative, we hope to bring together musicians, fans, and businesses to create a supportive space for the celebration of the contributions made to Independent music by women.

Artists must be female or female-fronted and may apply for a feature spot, or an acoustic solo spot. Submissions will be judged for upcoming showcases. Selected artists will be notified 3-4 weeks before the showcase they will appear.

Please note: Selected artists may be asked to submit two reproduction quality songs with lyrics and credits for the CD compilation. No covers please.
