Stars of Tomorrow (Georgia)

Stars of Tomorrow is a singing competition for children between the ages of 13-19. The intent is to gain experience, exposure, and the opportunity to pursue a singing career. Additionally, all funds raised from the event will support Variety of Georgia. The first stage of the competition is a call for talent throughout Georgia. Only residents from Georgia between the ages of 13-19 are eligible to submit their videos. Contestants must be unsigned talent (individuals only) who has not had any professional work. Contestants over 18 or legal guardians will be required to sign a waiver before the contestant will be allowed to compete./n/nStars of Tomorrow is a singing competition for children between the ages of 13-19. The first stage of the competition is a call for talent throughout Georgia. Talent will submit their videos on www.sonicbids.com. After the submissions have been approved, videos will be posted at www.youtube.com/variety of georgia. Contestants will have the opportunity to share their videos. A judge will review all contestants and decided on a Top 20.



The Top 20 will perform in a preliminary round held at The Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, GA on January 8th. Contestants will be judged and a Top 10 will be selected that evening.



The final event will be a professional produced show which will include a master of ceremonies, live band to accompany the entertainment, and group and individual performances. The Top 10 will then perform and compete at The Egyptian Ballroom at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on March 11th. Prizes will be awarded to the winner of the competition and awards will be given to the 2nd and 3rd place runner up. Prizes included for all three winners include, photo shoot, demo CD, and an audition for local play.



Who can compete:

Residents from Georgia between the ages of 13-19 are eligible to submit their videos. Contestants must be unsigned talent (individuals only) who has not had any professional work. Contestants over 18 or legal guardians will be required to sign a waiver before the contestant will be allowed to compete. Videos will be reviewed to ensure videos are singing videos without any harsh language.



How to Enter:

Georgia residents can enter the talent search by going onto the contest page and upload a 2 – 4 minute video of themselves singing. The eligible resident must supply his/her actual name, email address, brief bio and photo, website address (if applicable) in a manner sufficient to enable a Talent Search Panel member (or his/her representative) to contact them through email. Applicants shall be individual only. No application packages will be accepted by duo's, or by a group of more than one eligible resident, or by an individual who is not an eligible resident, and no application package received after Thursday, December 15, 2011 12:00 p.m. noon, EST, (the "Talent Search End Date"), will be accepted for judging in the Talent Search. All videos submitted will become the property of Variety and will be posted on Variety of Georgia’s youtube page.



Competition Timeline:

• October 25th 2011 begin accepting talent submissions.

  December 15th 2011 submission for talent search ends
• 
  December 16th we will begin notification of the Top 20 contestants. All other talent will receive email notifications.
• 
  December 16th 2011 Top 20 contestants must prepare their music for the preliminary round.

  January 8th 2012 Top 20 to perform at The Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, GA.
• 
  March 11th 2012 Top 10 to perform in the Egyptian Ballroom at The Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA.
