Summerfest 2008 (extended)

Summerfest is the ultimate festival experience that ignites on more than 75 acres along the shores of Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This annual 11-day music blowout features 11 stages offering live music all day and night in front of nearly 1 million fans. Summerfest will fill 60 slots with artists who submit online through Sonicbids!

Selected artists will be compensated for their performances.

The festival celebrates diversity in music and features hundreds of local, regional and national performers in genres including everything from alternative, country, R&B and reggae to blues, zydeco, rock n' roll, pop, Latin and more.

Last year's performers include Roger Waters, Social Distortion, John Mayer, AFI, Bon Jovi, Wolfmother, Steely Dan, B.B. King, Toby Keith, Def Leppard, Tool, Ludacris, Panic! at the Disco, Heart, Violent Femmes, Daughtry, Peter Frampton, Jack's Mannequin, Goo Goo Dolls, The Black Crowes, Spoon, The Fray, INXS, REO Speedwagon, Los Lonely Boys, Buddy Guy, Collective Soul, Ne-Yo, Bob Weir & Ratdog, Built to Spill, Son Volt, Gym Class Heroes, O.A.R., Dashboard Confessional, Lupe Fiasco, Sevendust, Ben Folds, Old 97s, The Wailers, Sarah Evans, Papa Roach, Arrested Development, War, George Thorogood, Femi Kuti, OK Go, Silversun Pickups, Rusted Root, Blue Oyster Cult, Big & Rich, Sum 41, and many, many more.

This year's Summerfest, which will be held June 26 through July 6, will continue to provide exciting and affordable entertainment for all ages and musical tastes, plus a variety of food, shopping and children's activities. Summerfest is a summer destination.
