SUPERJIMENEZ. 'Is it a bird?' 'Is it a plane?' Is it a fat Mexican cartoon superhero? No, gladly, it is a seriously impressive four-piece musical ensemble packing enough punch to ruin Prom.
SUPERJIMENEZ are Ronan Cunningham, Daragh Coen, Rhys Domagala and Nick O'Laoire. They hail from all over the wee world (from Ballina to Brisbane) and aren't going to be fitting any stereotypes easily; their effortless transcendence of stylistic boundaries makes for a veritable tour of Planet Rock.
Taking off in April '06 with their debut single 'Helicopters' (a top 20 hit) the band haven't looked down since, landing gigs at the Oxegen, HWCH, 2fm 2moro 2our and Music Ireland Festivals in 2006. Television appearances on RTE’s ‘The Café’, TG4 and music placements on new teen drama ‘Aifric’ and ‘The Premiership’ continue to highlight SUPERJIMENEZ’ steady rise to prominence in an uber-competitive fashion industry.
Their second single ‘Beau’, a radio-only release in February 2007, was A-Listed on PhantomFM and also notched up plays on XFM in London and on Australian and US radio. Hotpress reckon that once you’ve heard it, you’ll be “itching for the repeat button”!

The band is currently putting the finishing touches to the recording of their highly anticipated album in London with esteemed producer Adrian Bushby (Feeder, Bell-X1, Foo Fighters, Gomez).
