They have released their first single "Molly Parker" to the internet, and the song placed third overall in the ourstage.com "battle for the roo" competition.

The Mother Superiors are a three piece group rooted in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Fused from countless influences such as The Beatles, The Zombies, Elvis Costello, Gordon Lightfoot, Otis Redding, Randy Newman, and so many more, the band are doing their absolute best to revive an older sound that dates back to a golden era of music. They have a certain sway in style to them that today's youth are rarely introduced to and the older crowd haven't seen in years. Boasting a repertoire of songs with themes ranging from the ever so popular female, to cannibalism, to the storytelling genre, these guys are sure to take music back to what it was supposed to be. We hope that you'll agree.
