The Wall at Nipissing University and Canadore College - 2007/2008 Academic Year

The Wall is a 700 capacity on-campus student pub run by the student councils from both Canadore College and Nipissing University in North Bay, Ontario.

The Wall holds approximately 2-3 large concerts in the Fall Semester and 1-2 large concerts in the Winter semester and the student council is looking for opening acts for these large concerts. They are currently confirming the dates and should have them available shortly.

The Wall also puts on a series of smaller concerts and shows. These shows are held every Wednesday night and are first come, first serve. The student council is already booking acts for the Fall Semester and they’ve had a variety of performers play in the past, including acoustic shows, XXX hypnotists, and live music shows.

Compensation will be negotiated on a case by case basis, and travel costs may be covered. The Wall encourages all genres of music from all countries and regions to apply so that they may bring diverse entertainment to campus. The Wall employs a professional sound and lighting company to produce each of their concerts and acts are required to bring their own instruments.

The Wall has been the venue for some large and amazing shows in the past, including Billy Talent, Alexisonfire, Theory of a Deadman, Yellowcard, K-OS, Silverstein, Moneen, Bedouin Soundclash, The Trews, Rise Against, Anti Flag, Sum 41, Simple Plan, UnderOath, Blue Rodeo, Machete Ave, Craig Cardiff and Sarah Slean.
