Bio

The music of The Window Theatre is just that: a theatrical, adventurous, cinematic, but above all honest window into the lives of twin brothers Joseph and Erik Duemig. Encapsulated within their songs are the shared (and not shared) travels and tales of these two incredibly ambitious and astoundingly outgoing young men. It is their passion for their art that has made them tireless in concocting opportunities out of dust and realities out of dreams. Their obvious natural chemistry makes their shows exceedingly enjoyable and the guys themselves impossible to forget.

Twin brothers Joseph and Erik Duemig moved around a lot as kids. By the end of high school, they'd lived in five different states, and were preparing to leave their most recent adopted hometown of Austin, TX to find yet another new home in Chicago, where they would pursue their music career and study Audio for Film at Columbia College Chicago.

Since starting school, the twins have self-booked two national tours, playing shows in the Midwest, Northeast, and down South. They also played two sets at the 2010 SXSW Music Conference at the Red/Blue Records/Vital Signs Day Party and a slot on the 2009 Manifest Urban Arts Festival in Chicago.

Now, in their last year at school, the twins are enthusiastically promoting their new EP, Away, which was recorded in their old hometown of Austin at HotTracks Studios. The EP was recorded all analog, with the twins playing every instrument on the record except drums and percussion, which were provided by the twins' friend and the album's producer: Austin singer-songwriter Danny Malone.

After they graduate in May of 2011, The Window Theatre plans to book and play an extensive college tour the following fall.
