Tracy Mack and The Magic Land Band

Singer/songwriter Tracy Mack started writing songs in the 1990s, influenced
by her appreciation of the music of Fleetwood Mac, the Charlie Daniels Band,
Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Melissa Etheridge, Since then, she has
performed her songs, along with covers of her favorites, at venues around
Michigan, Ohio, and in the Los Angeles area, both as a solo artist and as a
band leader. Highlights include performances at The Hard Rock Café in
Cleveland, the Dearborn Music Fest, Arts Beats and Eats in Pontiac, and the
Crooked Bar in LA.

Tracy's riveting performance style fuses blues, rock, and R&B, creating a
raw energy that showcases her soulful, edgy voice and driving guitar
playing. In 1998, already an Ann Arbor favorite as a solo artist, Tracy
assembled some of the best musicians in the area to form The Tracy Mack
Band. This band went on to record Tracy's debut CD "Losing My Mind," which
was recognized by Current Magazine as "inspired genius shimmering with
unusual magic."

After several years of returning to her singer/songwriter roots and
developing her voice as a solo performer, Tracy recently put together a new
group, performing as Tracy Mack and the Magic Land Band. This high-energy,
yet soulful, five-piece band adds lead guitar, sax, bass, drums, and backup
vocals to Tracy's sound, and is quickly becoming an area favorite.

The Magic Land Band includes the following musicians:

Multi-instrumentalist Randy Perkuhn began his musical career playing trumpet
in his Topeka, Kansas, grade school band, but soon switched to the
saxophone, performing in concert, marching, and big bands, and ultimately
earning a degree in music performance. His professional experience includes
several decades with The Phil Nixon Orchestra in Central Florida, work with
a variety of top 40 and rock bands, and a steady house band gig with the
seven-piece R&B group The New South Band. In addition to the saxes (tenor,
alto, and soprano), Randy plays flute, percussion, and keyboards. His recent
move to Ann Arbor has resulted in many performance opportunities.

Bassist and composer Edie Herrold began performing professionally in the
mid-1970s. From her folk music roots, she moved on to play electric bass
with the popular Milwaukee-based jazz-rock band Breakwater, then picked up
acoustic bass, developing a career as a jazz bass player and
composer/producer. A co-founder of the group Naima in Milwaukee, Herrold has
toured the country with The Washington Sisters and has performed with many
Southeast Michigan jazz groups. As co-leader of the Herrold/Gordon Small
Band, she recorded and produced a CD of original music, "Think BIG," and
performed at the Detroit Jazz Festival, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the
Birmingham Jazz Festival, the Firefly Club, Del Rio, and Ann Arbor's Top of
the Park festival. In addition to her work with Tracy Mack and the Magic
Land Band, she continues to perform modern, Brazilian, and world jazz.

Drummer Tamara Perkuhn's musical career spans more than 30 years, with
experience in many genres, including big band, swing, country, R&B, and
rock. At 17, she was hired as the pit drummer for a professional touring
theater company. Her early adult years were spent in the Lawrence, Kansas
area, where she played with recording artist Kelly Hunt and Kansas Music
Hall of Fame inductee Beth Scalet, and recorded on Holly Fischer and Anne
Steward's debut album, "Sweet Inspiration." Following her training as an
audio engineer at Full Sail Center for the Recording Arts in Florida, Tamara
worked in the recording industry in Southeast Michigan for 10 years. She
has performed throughout the area with an all-female R&B band and has played
rock and jazz with a variety of Ann Arbor musicians.
