The Wave Gathering 2008 in Asbury Park, New Jersey is an annual festival featuring over 180 artists and nearly 16 venues. The festivals will not only host numerous musical acts, but will also feature panels of professionals discussing many of today’s biggest issues and subjects in the ever changing music business. The Wave Gathering will run the weekend of June 20 - 22, 2008, starting Friday night and continuing through Sunday evening.
Last year, The Wave Gathering hosted nearly 4,500 people at popular venues such as The Saint, The Stone Pony, The Wonder Bar, Trillium’s Antiques, The Deep, Asbury Lanes, Twisted Tree Café, The Surfside Grill, Sunset Landing, Brickwall, Market in the Middle, Mattison Park, Jake and Lucy’s, America’s Cup, Chat and Nibble, Wish You Were Here Courtyard, Plus several of the city’s local restaurants and art galleries. There are also a number of free venues in the area that will be hosting events and performances as well
The Wave Gathering 2008 is now accepting submissions from Sonicbids artists for general performance consideration. They are accepting submissions from all genres. Set lengths usually last 20-30 minutes in length. Compensation is offered on a case by case basis, and is negotiated at the time of booking. This is a great chance for any artist to perform at a popular and recognized New Jersey Shore music festival.
