2006 Western Canadian Music Festival

The WCMA Festival is part of the Western Canadian Music Awards annual event. The festival features the best emerging talent of all genres from BC, Alberta, Yukon, Saskatchewan and Manitoba – and there are over 60 showcase slots available. The artists who perform at the festival will be selected by a group of impartial jurors who have demonstrated both their knowledge of music and their familiarity with the various musical scenes across the west.



The 2006 WCMA Festival will take place in Winnipeg, MB from Thursday October 19 - Saturday October 21, 2006. The intent of the WCMA is to present a festival that is an exciting event for the general public as well as providing an opportunity for industry showcases. The performances will take place in premier live music venues in downtown Winnipeg playing to receptive audiences and music industry representatives from across Canada and around the world.



The Western Canadian Music Alliance is currently seeking submissions for festival artists. If you are a musician in western Canada, this is one of the best opportunities for you to get heard and have a ton of fun! Performance slots are available for all genres: classical, hip hop, jazz, blues, rock, pop, roots, folk, country and more.



The WCMA Festival promises to showcase the best up-and-comers of the west!

2. Submission fees are in USD and will be converted to CDN when your credit card is charged.
