Summary
The We R Indie & Indiegrrl International Music Conference is an international gathering of independent song writers, bands, and musicians for the purposes of attending workshops and panels geared toward music career development, networking with other music industry professionals, and showcasing opportunities. This year's conference will be held August 2-4, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Roanoke Valley View.
The event will feature leading music industry professionals as part of workshops, panels, and keynote speakers. The event also features a vendor exhibit hall and several stages where conference attendees, and the general public will view the performers.
There are 5 slots reserved for Sonicbids artists to play showcase slots at the conference.
Artists/Bands selected for showcase slots must register to attend but get large discounted rates. Pass gains entrance to all workshops and panels, exhibit trade show, stage, and kick off party. Prices for selected artists are outlined below:
- Solo Artist- $65
- Duo Act = $100
- Group/Band = $200
Artists receive great promotion and exposure from these events, as A&R representatives and booking management are present at the showcases and artists are included in all print material distributed and place ads in various music industry magazines and local Knoxville print media.

Music industry professionals from all around the world attend this event. Artists from previous events have gotten record deals, video deals, songs placed, venue and house concert bookings, consulting deals, and more. These events showcase only Indie (independent) artists and bands or artists and bands on an Indie Record Label. Artists and bands must perform all original music and songs on all stages.
