"B1GJuice - Showtime"

B1G Juice is a rapper out of Brampton, Ontario, otherwise known as the city that produced Tory Lanez, Alessia Cara, and Derin Falana. Juice make a strong first impression with his distinct voice, immediately avoiding to comparisons to other artists. His deep vocals hit with a blunt force that never interferes with his nimble delivery, supplying deceptively multisyllabic rhymes and stinging punchlines in equal measure.

"Sandalwood East Births Brampton’s Latest MC BIG Juice"

B1G Juice emerges as Brampton’s newest MC and channels his inner athletic spirit to get there.
Brampton has been solidifying its place on the national music scene with artists like Alessia Cara, Tory Lanez, Roy Woods, Jessie Reyez, and others gaining stardom. This suburban city has birthed tons of youthful talent but we’ve yet to see anyone with a story as interesting as a new dominant figure, B1G Juice.

Standing tall and large as the former NCAA defensive lineman for Furman University, Tyreek Phillips has left the shoulder pads behind and has chosen pen and paper as his newest mode of expression. The rapper is still fairly new to the Toronto music scene, but his aggressive demeanor and sleek punch lines make it seem like he’s been behind a microphone for much longer.

Even with a limited flow of content, Juice has been consistent with his music and continues the grind with upcoming single “DAMN”. His single “Million”, produced by award-winning Eestbound, shows him channeling his energy and aggression into his music, rather than the field, but there are parallels.

Like his work on the football field, he is no stranger to musical teamwork with fellow Brampton artists. He is featured on multiple songs with other artists including Tino and Fresh Hines, known for his EP on iTunes “Young and Bad”. Juice’s voice can be heard on his personal single “Showtime” along with his features on “First Place” and “Chosen One”.

As a suburban community that is only 13% black, it has given rise to a lot of black talent.

With a lineage of successful comedians, NBA athletes, and multi-platinum record artists and producers, it’s becoming clear that Brampton won’t stay in the shadow of Toronto for much longer, at least where talented people are concerned.

B1G Juice’s moniker establishes that he has all the swagger and tools needed to succeed and the same devotion he has for football resonates in his music. - Bramptonist

"B1GJUICE – “D*MN!”"

Sometimes you have to go hard in the paint and demolish the competition to wake the people up. B1GJuice is barred all the way up on his latest single “D*MN!”. The Automatik Beatz x The E-produced joint is reminiscent of some early Swizz and L.O.X. and can be heard below. - Str8OutDaDen

Bio

Sacrifice for Success” are 3 words that embody this artist. Born Tyreek Shaquille Phillips, B1G Juice has showcased himself as one of Brampton’s most versatile rap artists to date. While some of the GTA’s competition has packed their bags and taken their dreams to Toronto, B1GJuice continues to put an unknown city on his back. At a young age, he was introduced to hardcore rap by his father. He remembers blaring his first CD; “The Chronic: 2001”; banging out of his dads 1992 Nissan Maxima. After spending his first decade in the city, B1GJuice moved out to the suburbs; Brampton, where his passion for football grew strong. He become one of the best high school football players in Pee Region and decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia at 17 to pursue an athletic scholarship. By the age of 18, B1GJuice was a Freshman at Furman University (NCAA DIV1-AA) in rural Greenville, South Carolina. In his sophomore year, B1GJuice (Tyreek Phillips) received many accolades for his performance on the field; including being named to the All-American Freshman Team.

It was during the spring of 2012, that he was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy of the Left Ventricle; he could no longer play football. He fell into a deep depression and returned back home. It was there; in that dark place, that B1GJuice found his calling in music again. It was his love for music and the ability to express his emotions/feelings that drove him to live again. Blessed with a Son in 2016, B1GJuice is now motivated, and continues to create music to uplift those that have been where he once was.

He takes his hurt and turns it into creativity, commanding an audience with a sinister voice and a cadence fluid enough to lay vocals over any beat thrown at him. While some of the GTA’s competition has packed their bags and taken their dreams to the east, B1GJuice continues to put an unknown city on his back. Blessed with a sense of resilience and strength, Drowned in solitude, he continues to pour out his pain for the world to enjoy.
