Bio

In late 2001, four freshman students in high school in a small town in northwest Indiana decided to start a band. The first rehearsals were a little rough, but as time went on, the music started to happen. In the beginning, 0 for 4 was essentially a pop punk band, and they were best known for their catchy hooks and guitar riffs. They wrote a number of songs and played shows at many local venues throughout their high school endeavors. They patiently saved their money and were gradually able to acquire better equipment. 0 for 4’s popularity began to grow, and they started to make their mark on the local scene. In 2005, the guys graduated from high school and spread out among three different colleges, but they never lost their desire to play music. Over the years they have made several self-produced demos and have continued to play shows as much as possible.

All along, the members of 0 for 4 have been refining their sound and attempting to find their niche in the music scene. The members’ skills and musical tastes have evolved over time, and so has the sound of the band. They’ve tuned down their guitars and have developed a heavier sound by intertwining hardcore chops and screaming into their songs. However, in a scene that tends to favor the usual hardcore and emo bands, 0 for 4 has still strived to attain a sound that is somewhere in between. All of their songs are individually written without any regard for conforming to any one particular style. The result is a variety of good solid rock with a unique sound that blends multiple styles including metal, punk, alternative, hardcore and many other strands of rock.

After graduating from college in 2009 with degrees in architecture, biology, engineering, and computer information technology, the members of 0 for 4 are still focused on moving forward. The band has since signed a deal with Deka Records, and, with their own equipment and a do-it-yourself mentality, recorded and mixed their full-length debut album entirely on their own. They still write songs in their spare time and get together to rehearse and perform. Despite encountering many obstacles over the years, the band has persevered and not let go of their passion for music. Knowing how competitive the music industry is, 0 for 4 is still hanging in there waiting for a chance to prove to the world what they are capable of.
