1,000,000 Light Years started out as the solo project of Patrick Hangauer. Influenced by instrumental groups such as Isotope 217 and classical music composers ranging from Schubert to Bela Bartok and steeped in hip hop and jazz, the music is a modern interpretation of composition and freedom. Just as the organic world of plants and animals represents the furthest reaches of technology, 1,000,000 Light Years pushes the limits of the past and the future through organic sounds and digital programming.
