Born and raised in Harlem, the charismatic and quick-witted 100GrandRoyce first expressed an interest in music as a teenager. What began as a pastime quickly became a way of life when inspiration struck in the form of some encouraging words from Jadakiss, who after hearing him freestyle, convinced the young hustler to pursue a career in music. It was the combination of this acknowledgement, and his hope for a better life, that gave Royce the courage to leave the fast life behind to do something positive, make music. Armed with a unique style, smooth delivery and an impeccable lyrical abilities, the young emcee has been able to bless the hip hop community with a refreshing sound, while gaining the respect, and support, of anyone who's lent him their ears. Ever the diligent worker, Royce had earned a roster spot collaborating on Dame Grease's Harlem imprint Wavegang. Other accolades include a stunning impromptu freestyle with Jay Electronica at N.E.R.D.'s Webster Hall show. Through the release of his critically acclaimed mixtape "Hoodlum." Royce has chalked up an impressive array of mixtape appearances, radio spins and crowd-pleasing performances that have his name on the tip of the tongues of critics and fans alike, from Harlem to Miami.
