100 Miles Gone

Will Carter was born into a family that cherished each moment they had together, held God above all things, believed anything was possible, and fervently pursued their dreams. At three years of age Will sang "The Grand Ole Flag" for the opening of the Sealy Fantasy of Lights Parade. That day Will began to dream of a music career.

His parents dedicated their resources to chasing his dream. Trey, Will's dad, lovingly drove him all over Texas to perform at a number of venues, festivals, and events. When Will was 11 his father was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the age of 13 Will recorded his first cd titled "A Dedication to My Dad" in an effort to raise money to support his family.

When his father passed away in 2000, Will continued to chase his dream with more determination than before. After high school, he joined the legendary Texas dancehall band The Emotions, and travelled all over Texas singing in a multitude of venues. In 2006, he put touring on hold to attend Texas A&M University, where he graduated as the loudest proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of '09 A-A-A-WHOOP!!

Will has been featured at hundreds of venues including: the Lee County Fairgrounds with Kevin Fowler, Firehouse Saloon in Houston, Mo's Place in Katy, the Texas A&M Aggie Bonfire, Rebel's Honkytonk in Houston, Chicken Ranch Dancehall in Ledbetter, Austin County Fair Grounds, and the steps of the State Capitol in Austin, Texas.

In 2012 he formed the duo group 100 Miles Gone with Kelly Logan. They have recorded several songs with Grammy nominated producer Doug (Deforest) Driesel at Paradise Lake Studio as well as the music video to their first single Love Drunk. Each day Will is one step closer to proving that anything is possible if you pursue your dreams like there is no tomorrow and he's loving every minute of it!

Kelly Logan's love for country music is a family tradition. She has grown up watching her dad singing and playing in traditional country bands for as far back as she can remember.
Her grandfather, who has been like a second father to her, shared his love of country music with her as well. Through his influence, Kelly came to love the music of his youth, from the bounce of Ray Price's Western Swing, to Patsy Cline's soulful feeling. To this day they remain a beloved part of her musical heritage.

Her "Uncle Benny," who happens to be the Ace in the Hole Band’s very own Benny Mcarthur, is one of her greatest musical influences. She fondly remembers that his brand of revived Western swing played the background music for a great portion of her childhood.

Since Kelly could talk she has had a marked interest in music. At the age of 5 her parents encouraged her to pursue singing in all its wonderfully diverse avenues. She participated in choir, attended musical theater workshops, and sang wherever she could.

But Country kept calling her name, and she hit the studio for her 13th birthday, recording several covers, including Martina McBride's Broken Wing.

Kelly's stepmother Lynn, (a gospel music award winner) became a new source of musical influence. Sharing their love of music and fashion design, Lynn offered new insight and encouragement. Kelly started writing original lyrics and Lynn brought Kelly out to perform with the Edge Band on the road.

Inspired by these experiences, Kelly sought out renowned vocal coach Tom McKinney, finding her voice and direction under his instruction. Shortly thereafter Kelly reconnected with Will Carter, a childhood friend, and the idea of a duo was soon born.

Since joining forces, music has become a wild ride across Texas and Arkansas; from recording with Grammy nominated producer Doug (Deforest) Driesel at Paradise Lake Studios, to playing venues such as the steps of the Texas State Capitol building. Kelly can't wait to see what's next!
