"The reasons I have to suggest this are not entirely explainable. They scare me in the best way possible. That's because I'm in a girly band though." - Chris Wise (Buxton) on 10GC pre-Block Party - 29-95

Bio
Remember that time you got far too drunk and made an ass of yourself but gave all your friends something to talk about for weeks? Imagine a band who has somehow made a career out of doing that on the most epic scale imaginable and you'll have Houston, TX musical supervillains 10th Grade Cutie. 10GC is known for their highly unpredictable, ultra-energetic live performances (one evening saw them playing Daniel Johnston's "I Did Acid With Caroline" for 45 minutes straight on top of all the material from their full-length debut, "Exploding Plastic Martyr!") and quirky, up-beat, and often intelligent songs about subjects such as the pains of being a mall security guard who plays by his own rules or standing in line to buy electronics on Black Friday. It also doesn't hurt that they make okay albums and provide local music journalists with interesting things to write about on a regular basis either.
""...they bust crap all to hell when they perform live and look like movie stars doing so"
-Shea Serrano, Houston Press
"I really want to see these guys one of these days. They're like the future of music and shit."
-April Brem, Free Press Houston
