Bio

Performing hits from such greats as The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire, The Spinners, Sly and the Family Stone , the O’Jays and more, this band 110 In The Shade will have the crowd singing along and dancing to the beat.

The band "110 in The Shade" is fronted by Ritchie Stanley & Reggie Reed. Between Ritchie & Reggie, this band has over 60 years experience in the entertainment field.

Reggie Reed was raised in an artistic family, having a mother with a career singing R&B, and surrounded by the likes of Fats Domino, Ray Charles, Jackie Wilson, and Bobby “Blue” Bland.

Reggie started his career in music as an opera singer in high school. After high school and trying his hand at forming his own band, he studied performing arts at the Karamu House in Cleveland encouraging him to move to California where he took up acting. Reggie landed roles in such movies as Lethal Weapon, Bring Her Back Alive, Amen, What’s Happening Now, Knots Landing, and Dallas.

In 1994, he left acting and formed a musical group and started performing at special events and weddings. Following an invitation, he ended up in Las Vegas by 1999. While in Las Vegas, he met and became fast friends with Ritchie while performing with Nate Evans' “Sound of theTemptations.”

Ritchie Stanley grew up Albuquerque, NM and started singing at a very early age in church and throughout his school years. He continued to perform while attending New Mexico State University where he obtained his business degree. During college and after, he sang with such greats as Alexander O’Neil,Jeff Lauber, and Richard Streak’s Temptations. Upon moving to Las Vegas in the early 2000s, he became involved with Nate Evans’ “Sound of the Temptations.” This group moved to East Tennessee in 2009, and Ritchie and Reggie came east as well. Together they are 2 of the 5 performers singing classic Motown harmonies onstage nightly.

The vocals are backed up by the tightly-knit 5-piece band featuring Beau James, Ryan Ownsby, Michael Hulsey, Jimmy Green, and Charles Steptoe.

The funky bass sounds emanate from the bass of Beau James. Beau started playing guitar at the age of 12, and by the time of high school was performing regularly with his band in Southern Florida. After spending most of his 20s performing up and down the east coast, he decided to try his hand at the bass guitar and has been thumping ever since.

The beat is held down by long-time drummer Charles Steptoe. “Step” has been playing since high school, hitting the big time behind such greats as Marvin Gaye and Gladys Knight. He has done his time in the Motown ‘snakepit’, and can still be heard on the vinyl recordings of that era.

Ryan Ownsby on keys is studying for a degree in music education, and after busy days working with troubled kids, he lives for the pure joy of making magical music.

Guitarist Jimmy Green brings on the soul with his accomplished guitar playing. Having first picked up the guitar at the age of 11, he has spent his entire life performing in the east Tennessee area, including 12 years at Dollywood and 17 years in various Pigeon Forge theaters. Michael
