13amp play rock music and are based in the North West of England. Equidistant between Manchester and Liverpool we are the afterbirth of Merseybeat meets the rage of a post punk former Industrial Manchester, but sing about love. Our debut album is called Moths and was recorded by ourselves at a lovely studio (without a roof!) in Warrington. Working on and off it took us about a year to finish and we will have another, much sunnier, much sparkier record, available in Summer 2007. We can't help but write about what we know, it comes from not having a particularly creative imagination, not reading enough and pilfering from our heroes at every opportunity. Our influences range from Sun Ra to Echo and the Bunnymen but after years of trying we've finally found our own peeved voice
