"13conditions (formaly Blag)EP"

13conditions describe themselves modestly as a no-frills rock band. That's true as far as it goes, but there's nothing wrong with no-frills rock - particularly when it's carried off with such aplomb as this Dublin three-piece. Their grunge meets New Wave sound doesn't fit easily into any one category, but think Foo Fighters with a dash of early Black Sabbath and you're not a million miles away. This excellent EP contains four tracks, and while each is interesting in its own right, the highlight is definitely '13 Conditions' - a catchy rebuke to a demanding partner that'll have many listeners shuddering in recognition. Definitely a band to keep a close eye on in 2006. Check out www.13conditions.com for more details. - entertainment.ie

Bio

Bryan returned to europe after 5 years of travelling the earth's wilderness, with one goal to start a new band, one that did not play to todays gimmick driven rehash of alternative 80's music, but a solid down to earth rock band that would take elements from the greats that started this thing in the first place. After going to see bands all over the place, he bumped into Nick told him his thoughts and anger at the current sound, Nick was convinced. Nick put a call in to holland to get a drummer/singer friend over who the same ideals. And so it begun, the almighty struggle to get a following, the tunes were in place, 13conditions are nothing but prolific in there struggle to find good songs.

Gigs started arriving from holland, the uk but Ireland was a tougher nut to crack, you have to start at the bottom, god we've played to no one in the back of beyond, even our sound engineer buggered off for a fag during the set. But still playing on and on, recording and giving all our ep's out for free to at least distribute the music to the people who did come to see us, start a good chain reaction.

We have slowly eased our way into 2006 only playing when we want, however we are about to change that for the second half of this year, playing round europe, New York and LA, then some very cold gigs in russia (TBC). Its should be a good fall.

Thanks,

BC
