13Curves

13Curves started in Los Angeles, California when two members of Lionel Richie's touring band met up with a friend from Memphis, Tennessee, and the three of them starting writing music together. The guys enlisted some high profile friends and recorded their amazing debut CD "Underground." One of the songs from this CD was recently picked by Brad Gilderman to be featured in the Bogner Entertainment film "Soccer Mom." The 13Curves song "Everybody" is also featured on the movie's soundtrack which will be released on Lakeshore records. 13Curves is fronted by lead singer and guitarist Ben Mauro who grew up playing in the rock clubs of New Jersey and the r&b clubs of New York City. Since moving to Los Angeles, Ben has worked with many of the music industry's highest profile stars including Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, Prince and Lionel Richie. The band's amazing drummer is Oscar Seaton from Chicago. Oscar's musical upbringing found him playing with many of Chicago's top gospel and jazz artists, and that experience has made him one of most in demand studio and live musicians in Los Angeles. Oscar has played with many famous artists including George Benson, Queen Latifa, Grover Washington Jr., Boz Scaggs, Lee Ritenour and Lionel Richie. Rounding out the band on bass is Gary "Scruff" Davenport. Before moving to Los Angeles he made his mark as a top session and live player in the legendary music city of Memphis, Tennessee. Together their mix of influences brings a fresh and unique sound to rock and roll. Live performances in Los Angeles have given 13Curves a reputation as a dynamic live act with great songs. The band's debut record "Underground" was written and produced solely by the members of 13Curves, mixed by Grammy winner Ted Greenberg and mastered by the legendary Bernie Grundman.
