Biography

An in-depth individual that makes you stop and think, that's what 1DAH stands for. His college roommate baptized him with that name because a lot of things he said made people think harder than the norm. 1DAH is a NJ commercial Hip Hop artist ready to take the East and West coast by storm. "I rather die enormous than live dormant" he says quoting one of his favorite artist, Jay Z.

1DAH is currently in the studio working on his third mixtape "Power Shift." The Digital release is expected the summer of 2009. It promises to resurrect the fans that have been waiting for 4 long years. "This is a new beginning" 1DAH reveals excited by this upcoming project. The "Power Shift" mixtape promises a ground-breaking re-introduction of this talented and focused young rapper.

The career of this prominent rapper began at Kean University in Union, NJ. Encouraged by friends he performed at a talent show where he came in 1st place. 1DAH won a 4 hour free studio session, "at first I was nervous but kept going back and started learning the craft of delivery, the importance of hooks and how to count bars" he confesses. His father helped him with his music career while he pursuit a degree in Industrial Design. His goals were to get a record deal and to become the first college graduate in his family.

After 2 years of hard work he was signed to Shea Management and a year later (January 2005) was offered a deal by SONY. "The contract was being worked on by SONY," says 1DAH as he thinks back. This promising artist's life took a drastic turn when a NJ judge condemned him to 5 years in prison. Leaving behind a SONY contract in the works, an almost completed degree and a torn family. "To me it was over" 1DAH says as he remembers January 14, 2005. But he never thought of giving up, it never crossed his mind, thanks to the support of his family, friends and management team.

Four years later, 1DAH is back with HEAT! A day after his release he was in the studio working on new material and 3 days later he was at a photo shoot. "I was always told, if that's what you want to do, then go do it. It's exactly what I'm doing, working for what's mine" says a mature and confident 1DAH ready to pick up where he left off.

Some of the artists that inspired and motivated 1DAH during his hard times were; Jay Z, Biggie, Scarface, Ludacris, Jadakiss, Tupac, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh. In the future, he would like to work with Dr. Dre, Timberland, Just Blaze, Swizz Beats, Manny Fresh, Jay Z, Nas, Ludacris, Fabolous, Eminem, Mary J, Keisha Cole, Whitney Houston and Akon.

Stay tune for the resurrection of 1DAH, who is ready to make a comeback with his laid-back flow, witty lyrics and friendly radio vocals.
