Bio

1EYE have grown out of an 11 piece Latin Orchestra called Del Camino, which played Nuyorican Salsa covers. The band from Birmingham UK are a diverse multi cultural bunch, with influences spanning across many genres.
1EYE play a blend of Latin, Reggae, Soul and Funk, with a sprinkling of Jazz.
Key members of the band moved into a dilapidated pub together in Birmingham, and turned the cellar into a studio to record their album 'Whiskey Business'. The bands name and album title stem from their passion for parties, their German pianist being the only member that doesn't drink.
To date, the band have supported UB40, Toots and the Maytals and Musical Youth.
The bands influences include a number of Reggae, Soul and Latin artists, i.e. Burning Spear, Curtis Mayfield and Fania Allstars.
Creating a buzz within industry circles, 1EYE have recently released their debut single 'Worries & Trouble' feat. Apache Indian on 31st August 2009.
1EYE has also made a feature length documentary covering their journey from producing the album in a pub cellar, promoting the band in Cannes to performing the material in its entirety at their first album showcase. The documentary is also entitled 'Whiskey Business'.
We are a true live band in the James Brown tradition and thoroughly make the most of every performance.
