" A 1Knight's Tale"

Born and raised in the southern city of Laurel Mississippi. Urban Recording Artist, 1 Knight "Stan Hollingsworth" boldly declares in his song Grudge 2 that "My grudge is getting bigger" but he didn't get there by having a grudge or coasting by on his good looks, though he certainly could have. 1 Knight is not that type of music artist.

The inspiration for his latest project, Against All Odds, is built with a surprising amount of life experience worn into this singer-songwriter's Saucony Sneakers. From the bold of "Touch My Swag" to the Laurel hometown anthem, "Dirty South Swagger" 1Knight sounds as confident as he does earnest, paying respect to his rap roots while pushing the envelope of current urban music.

1 Knight's youth was spent listening to his momma singing gospel hymns on Sundays followed by songs of legendary hip-hop music legends on the radio at night. He started preforming with his pants on backwards at age 7 to music inspired by Kriss Kross. His early efforts at songwriting was themed songs based on his youth basketball team with a song called "Bounce it, Bounce the ball" Now a teenager 1 Knight embarked on a musical journey, while being influenced by Ghetto Boys, Tupac, plus No Limit Records artists MAC, C-Murder, Mystikal, Mr. Magic and the label owner Master P . Intrigued by the lyrics of his favorite artists 1 knight began to write about his own life and real things he had seen on the streets of his little Mississippi town, he than dedicated his time to gaining performing experience and notoriety outside his city limits.

Like many young men 1 Knight was drawn to the darker side of hussling and the lure of making money. when his best friend Franklin "Frog" Coleman heading to prison it forced him look at life and his own direction much more seriously, but that did not stop the desire to chase down that musical dream and let nothing stand in his way.

1 Knight finished high school and left behind his bad ways and was excepted to Mississippi State College, making his way through college he survived, tests, exams, and one of his biggest challenges fraternity hazing that provoked 1Knights biggest hit to-date "Grudge" the song was not the only "hit". The hazing left 1Knight with three cracked ribs and a concussion. "Grudge" became an overnight sensation and his myspace page became the spot to listen to 1Knights song about how we was done wrong.

The fame and controversy of Grudge pushed 1 Knight into the spot light in Mississippi but also may have paved the road for his exit to Sin City. Encouragement from family members and fellow music artists Cris Style and Zuri 1Knight traded the southern humidity for the desert air of southern Nevada. Las Vegas best known for the Rat Pack, Elvis and Celine Dion is now home of 1Knight.

"It was no longer about what everyone else wanted me to do, or who to be, it was about what I wanted to create and how I wanted to tell my story and empower others."
